Call for Applications for the Fifth Eurasia Youth Academy
Until March 24, the KF’s Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat is pleased to invite Korean students who are interested in Central Asian countries to participate in the fifth Eurasia Youth Academy, a theoretical and practical capacity building program conducted in collaboration with the Hyundai Research Institute. Launched in 2019, the Academy supports Korean youths in enhancing their understanding of Eurasia, including the five Central Asian countries, and helps them advance into the respective regional markets.
As the strategic importance of the Central Asia region continues to grow, the Academy has further improved its detailed program through consultation with field experts, in order to allow participants to gain in-depth knowledge and become Korea’s next-generation experts of Central Asian affairs. The Academy will offer a systematic and comprehensive program consisting of language and regional studies classes at home, trainings abroad, and internships at domestic and foreign institutions.
Of special note this year is the resumption of the trainings and internships abroad after a three-year suspension incurred by the COVID-19 pandemic. Participants will visit Central Asian countries, where they will meet with working-level officials and experts at industrial firms and institutions. They will also have the opportunity to network with fellow collegians and to experience Central Asian culture by participating in numerous activities.
While taking part in the education program in Korea, participants will learn Russian and other languages used in Central Asia. Experts' mentoring and lectures will be provided that reflect recent trends.
Applicants are required to download their application form from the websites of the KF or the Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Secretariat. For more information, please visit the Secretariat’s website (https://www.kf.or.kr/korcen/na/ntt/selectNttList.do?mi=1441&bbsId=1095).
