Summer Blast for Kids: Exploring
Germany, Morocco, Uzbekistan
To escape the smoldering heat of June, we joined our international volunteers from Germany, Morocco, and Uzbekistan to take the kids of Aehyang Children’s Center on another global tour of the “Meeting the World in Korea” program.
The volunteers had prepared several activities to acquaint the children with their home countries. During the global journey, the kids tried out German lederhosen dirndl and munched on sausages and pretzels. They also made traditional Uzbekistani kites and Moroccan pancakes, called beghri. It was a meaningful experience that allowed the children to learn about other world cultures.
