[Review] 2017 Korea-Arab Next-Generation Leaders’ Forum
The KF hosted the Korea-Arab Next-Generation Leaders’ Forum in Seoul on May 15–20 to promote young Arab leaders’ understanding of Korea and build the foundations for a network of friendship between Korea and the Arab world.
The forum, which was jointly hosted with the Korea-Arab Society, was attended by 45 guests from 12 member states of the Arab League, including the United Arab Emirates, Palestine, Morocco, Iraq, Lebanon, and Oman, representing culture, arts, journalism, and academia. After attending a lecture on Korean society and culture, guests actively participated in a Korea-Arab cultural dialogue under the theme “Together in the 21st Century Between Arabs and Koreans.” For a taste of Korean culture, guests toured Gyeongbokgung Palace and the Korean Cuisine Cultural Center and viewed the non-verbal musical Nanta. They also visited Busan Port Authority, Hyundai Motorstudio, and Samsung Delight for a closer look at Korea’s industrial facilities.
