‘Expanded Animation’ Exhibition Commemorates
60th Anniversary of Korea-Denmark Diplomatic Relations
In celebration of the 60th anniversary of Korea-Denmark diplomatic relations, the KF will host a special exhibition titled Expanded Animation at the KF Gallery, in cooperation with the Embassy of Denmark in Korea and The Animation Workshop.
Held as a part of KF Global Bridge II, the exhibition will showcase the six works of five Danish animators, each boasting unique individuality. Various virtual reality experiences will also be on offer through VR devices, allowing guests to enter the artificial world of the artwork.
Contemporary art grows increasingly diverse every day. Though the animated works on display are all distinct in terms of style and content, each is an attempt to combine art with the evolving potential of technology to a new form of media. And each piece is the result of close cooperation between animators and technicians.
Expanded Animation will give visitors an opportunity to observe the current state of Danish animation production and enhance their interest in virtual reality, with diverse events designed to help participants learn about and experience the artificial world. Detailed information about these events and applications for participation can be found on the KF website(www.kf.or. kr). The exhibition will run through January 17, 2020.
