The first Workshop for Overseas Librarians, co-hosted by the Foundation and National Library of Korea, will be held from October 23 to 30. Twenty-five participants from the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and France will have an opportunity to increase their knowledge of state-of-the-art skills related to Korean materials management. The workshop program includes lectures on various topics of Korean Studies and Korea-related media management, visits to relevant organizations such as the Korean Studies Advancement Center and Gyujanggak as well as visits to cultural historical sites such as the National Museum of Korea, and Changdeokgung palace. This bi-annual workshop will be effective in broadening awareness of Korea among librarians whose function it is to guide the public and researchers.
