[Invitation] Prof. Salah Mohmed Azwai, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, Al-Fateh National University, Libya

Prof. Salah Mohmed Azwai, Professor of Veterinary Medicine at Al-Fateh National University, Libya will visit Korea from March 22 to March 29 by invitation of the Korea Foundation. 

Al-Fateh National University, located in the capital Tripoli, is the largest and most prestigious higher education institution in Libya, providing undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate levels of study. The university was founded in 1957 as the College of Sciences of the University of Libya in Benghazi, and separated as an independent university in 1973 when the University of Libya was divided up.

Serving as the Vice-Chancellor for Al-Fateh University during the past 10 years and also as a prominent figure in the field of veterinary medicine, Prof. Azwai will visit relevant institutes such as the College of Veterinary Medicine and the Research Institute for Veterinary Science at Seoul National University (SNU); Korea Veterinary Medical Association, College of Veterinary Medicine, Veterinary Science Research Institute (VSRI) and Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Konkuk University; National Veterinary Research & Quarantine Service; and the Korea-Arab Society to discuss ways to improve the relationship between Korea and Libya. Also, he will visit the National Museum of Korea, Gyeongbokgung Palace and cultural and historic sites in Gyeongju.
