With the theme 'Korea's World of Fashion', articles in the spring issue of KOREANA include 'An Overview of Modern Fashion in Korea', 'Textile industry in the 21st Century', 'Fashion Collections and Designers' and 'Introducing Korean Fashion to the World'.
Two recently opened self-contained Korean galleries in European museums are also featured; the New Korean Gallery at the National Museum of Asian Arts-Guimet in France and the British Museum's Korea Foundation Gallery. Mr. Shin Young-hoon, an architect who has built a
, a traditional male scholar's quarters, for the British Museum's new gallery was interviewed for this issue.
The spring issue also carries articles entitled 'Notable Markets of Busan' and 'Traditional Papercrafts', as well as reviews of exihibitions featuring the works of King Jeongjo and painter Jang Seung-eop. The 'Journeys in Korean Literature' section features the short story 'Spring, Spring' by Kim Yoo-jung along with an article on his literary world.
The KOREANA webzine, carrying the full text of this issue, has been redesigned and is launched on May 9.
