Appointment of a New Assistant Professor of Korean Studies at State Univ. of New Jersey, Rutgers
Ann Y. Choi has been appointed assistant professor of Korean literature at Rutgers University. A graduate of Smith College, she holds a degree in English literature. Dr. Choi received her Ph.D. from the Dept. of East Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of California, Los Angeles, with a dissertation titled "Overcoming the Purity of Purpose: Korean Poetry of the 1920s." She is also a poet and has been a Wallace Stegner Poetry Fellow at Standford.
