The Korean Studies Workshop 2002 will be held from July 2 to July 15, 2002, under the joint organization of the Korea Foundation and the Graduate School of International Studies, Korea University. Forty-four educators from the United States, Australia, Canada and New Zealand will participate in this two week workshop. This year's workshop program consists of 15 lectures, including such topics as Korean culture, Inter-Korean relations, Korean family system, religion and Korean history. The participants will also have a chance to experience first-hand the Korean education system by conducting a teaching session at Daeil Foreign Language High School. Through Korean traditional art performances and field trips to the Korean Traditional Village in Yongin, Heain-sa Temple and Gyeongju historical and cultural sites, the participants will be able to develop a more insightful knowledge of Korea.
