Next-Generation Leaders Visit to Korea: Russian Federation Program

Delegates from the political, academic, and media sectors of the Russian Federation will have an opportunity to experience various aspects of Korea, including its political, economic and cultural fields, during their visit from October 14-20. To introduce Korea and promote future-oriented relation between Korea and other nations, the Korea Foundation implements an invitation program for "Next Generation Leaders" from all regions of the world. Next Generation Leaders are promising figures in their thirties and forties from the spheres of politics, business, and government, who are expected to assume leadership roles in their respective countries. During their stay, the participants from Russia will be briefed and have discussions on Korea's economic development at Korea Development Institute (KDI) and recent developments in the political arena of Northeast Asia and Russia at Sejong Institute. They will also visit the Institute for Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MOFAT) to discuss current diplomatic issues. In addition, they will have a chance to enjoy diverse aspects of Korea by visiting cultural attractions in Seoul and Gyeongju and touring the industrial facilities of Samsung Electronics and Kia Motors. The visitors from Russia include: -Vladimir Kulikov, Chief of Foreign Information Group of Political Information Service/INTERFAX -Konstantin Simonov, Director General of Center of Political Situation of Russia -Sergey Lousianin, Professor of Oriental Studies/MGIMO -Evgeny Chaikovsky, Deputy Director of International Cooperation Bureau, State DUMA -Grigory Senchenya, Deputy Director of the Center of Strategic Developments
