The 13th Korea-Japan Forum

The 13th Korea-Japan Forum will be held at Seogwipo KAL Hotel in Jeju Island from August 29 to 31, under the co-sponsorship of the Korea Foundation(President: KWON In-hyuk) and the Japan Center for International Exchanges(President: YAMAMOTO Tadashi). Led by GONG Ro-myung and MOGI Yuzaburo, distinguished representatives from the legislature, business, media, cultural and academic sectors from Korea and Japan will discuss “Political and Social Changes and their Impact on Relations between Korea and Japan”, “Different Aspects of the Historical and Territorial Issues: Long-and Short-Term Solutions”, “Construction of an East Asian Community and Cooperation between Korea and Japan: Political Challenges and Perspective”, “Construction of an East Asian Community and Cooperation between Korea and Japan: Economic Challenges and Perspective”, “Korea-Japan Friendship Year-Exchanges between Korea and Japan in a Multi-Track Era”. This year’s delegation from Korea will consist of 24 members including National Assemblymen ROH Hoe-chan, WON Hee-ryong, LEE Nak-yon and CHUNG Eui-yong; CHO S.R., Chairman, Hyosung Group; CHO Kun-ho, Vice Chairman, Federation of Korean Industries; KWON In-hyuk, President, the Korea Foundation; MOON Chung-in, Professor, Yonsei University; KWON Young-bin, President, JoongAng Daily, CHUNG Ku-chong, CEO & President, Donga.com. 17 distinguished representatives including SETO Yuzo, Advisor to the Board, Asahi Breweries, Ltd; IGARASHI Kimitoshi, Executive Commentator, NHK; OGOURA Kazuo, President, The Japan Foundation; WAKAMIYA Yoshibumi, Chairman of the Editorial Board, The Asahi Shimbun; YAMAMOTO Tadashi, President, Japan Center for International Exchanges will participate in the Forum from the Japanese side.
