Korean Studies Workshop for American Educators
The 1st Korean Studies Workshop for American Educators, hosted by the Foundation and implemented by the Institute for Contemporary Korean Studies, Graduate School of International Studies, Yonsei University will be held from July 6 to 19, and July 27 to Augutst 9. The fifty participants in each session, including secondary school social studies teachers, educational administrators and university professors from the United States, will have an opportunity to enhance their understanding of Korea.
The workshop program includes lectures on various topics about Korea such as Korean history, culture, educational system and politics. Participants will also visit a high school, Korean industrial sites and historic sites in Andong and Gyeongju.
Based on their firsthand experience in Korea, the participants are expected to utilize their knowledge through creating lesson plans for classrooms and launching web sites to introduce Korea.
