"Seasonal Customs of Korea" published
The Korea Foundation recently published "Seasonal Customs of Korea," written by Professor David Shaffer, College of Foreign Studies, Chosun University.
The author depicts, in an easily understood manner, a variety of traditional customs which might be commonplace to Koreans but are not known to many foreigners. "Seasonal Customs of Korea" is based on the first-hand experiences of Professor Shaffer since he came to Korea 30 years ago, so the book serves as an especially useful and comprehensive introduction to the seasonal customs of the Korean people. In addition, the book features vivid photographs that highlight the key points of the narrative descriptions of Korea’s seasonal customs and social traditions.
