Next-Generation Leaders from the Southeast Asia Region

Under the invitation program of “Next-Generation Leaders' Visit to Korea,” 11 prominent individuals from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Philippines, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Brunei will visit Korea during the period April 24 to May 1. These next-generation leaders are important figures from the Broadcasting and Culture fields, who are expected to play important roles in their countries. During the visit, participants will be briefed and have discussions on reciprocal cooperative exchanges between Korea and the Southeast Asia region, as well as Korea's broadcasting industry, culture and economic development, by visiting the Ministry of Cultural & Tourism(MCT), Korea Culture & Content Agency (KOCCA), Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange (KOFICE) and Korea Economic Research Institute. They will also visit the Korean Broadcasting System (KBS) and the Korean Overseas Information Service. In addition, they will have a chance to see diverse aspects of Korea by visiting historical sites in Seoul and Gyeongju and by touring industrial facilities of Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motors and Hyundai Heavy Industries.
