Support for the 15th Korea-U.K. Forum for the Future

The Korea Foundation is supporting the 15th Korea-U.K. Forum for the Future, which will be held at the Shilla Hotel, Seoul on May 17-19. Co-organized by the Korea-U.K. Forum for the Future (President: Han Seung-soo, Chairman: Bae Soon-hoon) and the U.K.-Korea Forum for the Future (President: Lord Richard, Chairman: Paul Newall), 28 representatives from Korea and 20 from the United Kingdom will discuss various agenda items such as ‘Korean Domestic Politics,’ ‘The North Korean Nuclear Issue and the Six-Party Talks,’ ‘British Politics and the UK-EU Relationship with Korea,’ ‘The Development of Korea as an International Business Hub for North-East Asia, including Korea’s Big Bang,’ ‘Promotion of Korean Studies in the UK and Bilateral Exchanges’. This year’s delegation from Korea include Kang Kwon-seok, President, Industrial Bank of Korea; Park Jin, National Assembly member; Euh Yoon-dae, Vice Chairman, Council of Economic Advisers; Jung Ku-hyun, Director, Samsung Economic Research Institute; and Cho Yoon-je, Korea's Ambassador to the United Kingdom. Twenty distinguished representatives from the United Kingdom will join the forum, including Simon Cooper, President and CEO, HSBC Korea; Tom Harris, Vice Chairman, Standard Chartered; Stefan Kosciuszko, Chief Executive, Asia House; Warwick Morris, British Ambassador to the Republic of Korea; Alan Plumb, Regional Executive, Rolls-Royce Korea; and Ian Simm, Head, British Council Korea.
