The Korea Foundation supports the 2nd Seoul-Washington Forum, which will be held at the Seoul Plaza Hotel, Seoul, Korea, on May 14-15, 2007. Co-organized by the Sejong Institute (President: Park Kie-duck) and the Brookings Institution (President: Strobe Talbott), 17 representatives from Korea and 12 from the United States will discuss various agenda items, such as ‘Alliance in Transition: Strengthening Political Trust and Adaptability,’'Six-Party Talks: Seeking a Nuclear-Free Korea,’‘A Peace Process on the Korean Peninsula,’ and ‘Beyond KORUS FTA: Toward Mutually Beneficial Economic Relations.’ This year’s delegation from Korea includes: BAEK Jong-Chun, National Security Adviser to President Roh Moo-hyun); HONG Soon-Young, Former ROK Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade; KIM Seung-hoon, President, Sangji University; KIM Young Hee, Adviser and Senior Columnist, JoongAng Daily; LEE Jae-jeong, Minister of Unification; LIM Dong-won, Chairman, Seoul-Washington Forum; PAIK Haksoon, Senior Fellow, Sejong Institute; PARK Kie-Duck, President, Sejong Institute; PARK Kun Young, Professor, Catholic University; SHIM Yoon-joe, Deputy Minster of Foreign Affairs and Trade; YIM Sung-joon, President, Korea Foundation; and YANG Sung Chul, former ROK Ambassador to the United States.
