The Hon. Lyutvi Mestan, Chairman, The Education and Science Committee of the National Assembly, Republic of Bulgaria, will visit Korea from May 6 to May 11, 2009 by invitation of the Korea Foundation.

During his visit, he will visit The National Assembly of The Republic of Korea and meet the speaker, vice-speaker and chairmen of committees to discuss ways to promote cooperation between Korea and Bulgaria. Mr. Mestan has also served as president of the Bulgaria-Korea Parliamentary Friendship Association since 2005, so his visit will be all the more effective to solidify friendly relations between the two countries. He will also visit HanKook University of Foreign Studies and The Academy of Korean Studies to enhance understanding and academic cooperation.

In addition, He will have a chance to experience diverse aspects of Korea by visiting historical sites in Gyeongju and by touring industrial facilities of Hyundai Heavy Industries and Hyundai Motor Company in Ulsan.
