[Invitation] H.R.H. Prince Norodom Sirivudh, Founder and Chairman, Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace

H.R.H. Prince Norodom Sirivudh, Founder and Chairman, Cambodian Institute for Cooperation and Peace (CICP), accompanied by the Princess, will visit Korea from July 13 to July 19 by invitation of the Korea Foundation.

Prince Norodom was appointed as Co-Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Royal Thai Government in 1993. In 1994, he was appointed as Chairman of the CICP and in 1999 he was nominated as Supreme Privy Counselor to His Majesty the King.

The CICP is an independent, neutral, and non-partisan research institute based in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It promotes both domestic and regional dialogue between government officials, national and international organizations, scholars, and the private sector on issues of peace, democracy, civil society, security, foreign policy, conflict resolution, economics and national development.

During their visit, they will visit The National Assembly of the Republic of Korea and meet the chairman of the Foreign Affairs, Trade, and Unification Committee and the president of the Korea-Cambodia Parliamentary Friendship Association, The National Assembly, to discuss ways to promote cooperation between Korea and Cambodia. They will also visit the ASEAN-KOREA Center, Korea Institute for International Economic Policy, Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security, The Sejong Institute and Jeju Peace Institute to enhance understanding and academic cooperation.
In addition, they will have a chance to experience diverse aspects of Korea by visiting historical and cultural sites on Jeju Island.
