[Invitation] Mr. Tøger Seidenfaden, Editor-in-Chief of Politiken

Mr. Tøger Seidenfaden, Editor-in-Chief of The Politiken daily will visit Korea from September 6 to 12 by invitation of the Korea Foundation.

Politiken, established in 1884, is a Danish daily broadsheet newspaper that comes second in terms of circulated copies in Denmark. The daily edition of the newspaper has 450,000 readers, and 585,000 on Sundays. 

As a prominent personage in the field of international politics and relations, Mr. Seidenfaden is a journalist and a political scientist, and acts as Editor-in-Chief of Politiken since 1993.  In the past years, he was editor-in-chief of Weekendavisen and managing director of TV 2.

During his stay, Mr. Tøger Seidenfaden will visit The Sejong Institute, Institute of Foreign Affairs and National Security (IFANS), Dong-A Daily Newspaper Company, Korea Institute for International Economic Policy (KIEP) and Yonsei University, to exchange views and information on relations between Korea and Northeast Asia, the USA, North Korea as well as the global economic crisis. He will also get a chance to visit the National Museum of Korea, Gyeongbok Palace, N-Seoul Tower, Panmunjeom, POSCO and Gyeongju Historical Sites for a first-hand opportunity to appreciate Korea’s past and present.
