Prof. Omarou Bouba, Rector of University of Yaoundé I, of Republic of Cameroon, will visit Korea from September 9-15 as a guest of the Korea Foundation’s Invitation Program.

University of Yaoundé is one of the premier educational institutions in Cameroon. Yaoundé is known for its lengthy history and high reputation among member countries of the Economic Community of Central African States (CEMAC). The visit by Prof. Bouba, Rector of University of Yaoundé I, is expected to help expand various exchanges, along with enhancing mutual understanding between Korea and Cameroon. It is also a valuable opportunity to discuss possible support measures for a variety of Korean Studies-related departments of the University of Yaoundé.

During his stay in Korea, he will visit Seoul National University, Ajou University, the Korea Development Institute School of Public Policy and Management (KDI School) and Korea National Open University (KNOU) to discuss ways to promote Cameroon-Korea cooperation. He will also visit the National Museum of Korea, Korean Folk Village in Yong-in city, and cultural/historic sites in Gyeongju.
