[Invitation] Prof. William E. Sharp of the Hawaii Pacific University

Prof. William E. Sharp of the Hawaii Pacific University, of United States of America, will visit Korea from October 5-11 as a guest of the Korea Foundation’s Invitation Program.

Mr. Sharp, who is a specialist on East Asian Politics and External Affairs, is also a columnist for the Honolulu Star-Bulletin is one of the two major daily and Sunday newspapers serving the Hawaiian islands. His column, “Look East” appears in the insight section which is devoted to thoughtful commentary on world and national events. He is interested in Korean foreign policy issues. So visiting Korea at this time is expected to provide the guest a good opportunity to gain a more in-depth understanding of Korea’s foreign policy issues and related international security issues.

During his stay in Korea, he will visit Seoul National University, The Sejong Institute, The Saemaul Undong Center, The Korea Institute for National Unification (KINU), and Woosong University, to discuss ways to promote Korea-U.S. cooperation. He will also visit the National Museum of Korea, Korean Folk Village in Yong-in city, and cultural/historic sites in Gyeongju.
