The Hon. Masouma S. Al-Mubarak, Member of The National Assembly of Kuwait, will visit Korea from October 17-23 as a guest of the Korea Foundation’s Invitation Program.

Mrs. Mubark was the first female cabinet minister in the history of Kuwait, as Minister of Planning & Minister of State of Administrative Development Affairs, Minister of Communication, Minister of Health, and one in the first district as member of the National Assembly.

During her visit, she will have discussions on cooperative exchanges between Korea and Kuwait at the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea. She is also interested in education in Korea. So visiting Korea for the first time, she is expected to have a good opportunity to gain a more in-depth understanding of Korea’s educational and political issues.

In addition to her visit the to National Assembly, where she will discuss issues related to Korea and Kuwait, she will also visit the Ministry for Gender Equality, Sookmyung Women’s University, Kookmin University, Konkuk University, and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies to discuss ways to promote cooperation in the fields of education in Korea. She will also visit Samsung D’light at Samsung Town, and the DMZ.
