Dr. Farhad Rahbar, Chancellor of the University of Tehran in Iran will visit Korea from Oct.19 to 22, 2009 by invitation of the Korea Foundation. He will be accompanied by two of his colleagues, Mohammad A. Mousavi, (Vice-President, International University of Tehran) and Mahomoud Kamareyi (Dean of the Engineering College).

They will be visiting Korean Universities where he is expected to promote positive collaboration between Korean Universities and the University of Tehran. Also, the University of Teheran wants to launch Korean Language studies in the foreign language department. They will thus be having discussions in this regard with institutions related to Korean Language studies.

During their stay in Korea, they will visit Kyunghee University, Hanyang University and Hankuk University of Foreign Studies. They will also visit Samsung D’light and cultural/historic sites in Seoul.

The University of Tehran is the oldest and largest university in Iran. Its library is the largest in the country. Important seminars are frequently held in this university. The university is among the most prestigious in Iran and the Middle East
