Mr. Faycal Metaoui, Journalist(Big Reporter) of The El Watan Daily will visit Korea from April 7 to April 13 by invitation of the Korea Foundation.

The El Watan Daily is one of the leading newspapers established on with the circulation of 200,000 copies a day. It aims to promote democracy and to give coverage to the Algerian opposition, and has acted as an outspoken voice against censorship and corruption. In 1994, it has received an Plume d'Or de la Liberte award from the World Association of Newspapers(WAN).

As a prominent personage in the field of international politics and relations, he is a journalist and editorial writer interested in relations between Korea and Northeast Asia,  North Korea. And his visit is expected to help sincere and balanced view to Korean article in the Daily newspaper.

During his stay, Mr. Faycal Metaoui will visit some institutes such as Korea Economic Research Institute, Amnesty International, Korea Herald, The Sejong Institute, The Institute of the Mideast Economies.  He will also get a chance to visit N-Seoul tower, Hyundai Motors, Huyndai heavy Industries, SK Energy, Gyeongju Historical Sites, DMZ, National Museum of Korea and Cheonggyecheon Museum  for a first-hand opportunity to appreciate Korea’s past and present.
