[Invitation] Mr. Cesar Joaquin Campos Rodriguez, Political columnist of Expreso newspaper in Peru

Mr. César Joaquín Campos Rodríguez, Political columnist of 『Expreso』, one of the major daily newspapers in Peru, will visit Korea from May 30 to June 5, 2010 by invitation of the Korea Foundation. He is one of the most prominent anchors and journalists in Peru.

Mr. Campos is originally from the legal field. In the 1980s, he was Legal Adviser of the Peruvian Parliament, Public Relations Officer of the Ministry of Justice and Public Relations Officer of the Peruvian Presidential Office. Later, he worked as the Editor of many prominent newspapers and magazines in Peru, such as Vision Peruana, OIGA, FORO, Estrategia Economica, Cambio, etc. He also has been hosting various news and current affairs TV shows in Peru and produced many important reports, visiting more than 30 countries. Among his representative reports, there are ‘China, 30 Years of Reform and Open-door Policy,’ ‘France, Chair of the EU,’ ‘Israel, 60th Anniversary,’ ‘The Press of the United States,’ and ‘The Development of the Japanese Motor Industry,’ etc.

During his stay in Korea, Mr. Campos will visit the G-20 Seoul Summit Committee, the Organizing Committee for Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea, Presidential Committee on Green Growth and the National Assembly of Korea to promote understanding of major international events and current issues related to Korea. He will also share opinions on mutual exchanges between Peru and Korea, especially in the fields of media and culture, at the Korea Times, Arirang TV and Korean Council on Latin America & the Caribbean.

In addition, he will have opportunities to experience various other aspects of Korea by visiting Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motors Co., POSCO Pohang Steelworks and touring museums and historical sites in Seoul and Gyeongju city.
