Korean Traditional Dance for Korea-UAE 30th Anniversary
The Korea Foundation is organizing a Korean traditional dance performance tour of the Middle East by the Gyeonggi Provincial Dance Company. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and the United Arab Emirates, the Gyeonggi Provincial Dance Company will present a variety of traditional Korean dance performances in Dubai and Abu Dhabi from Oct. 5-7, including Ogomu (Five-drum dance), Taepyeong-mu (Dance of Peace), Jindo buk-chum (Drum dance of Jin-do region), and Tal-chum (Mask dance). Prior to this, on Oct. 2nd, Gyeonggi Provincial Dance Company visited Jordan and staged a performance to celebrate the national foundation day of Korea.
