Prof. Abel Maharramov, Rector of the Baku State University in Azerbaijan, will visit Korea from December 12 to December 17 by invitation of the Korea Foundation.

Baku State University is known as a leader of educational institutions, has a rich history and today it is known as one of the most famous scientific and educational centers of Azerbaijan Republic.  Azerbaijan’s famous politician and well-known scientists, intellectuals, and diplomats were graduated from this university. Also, as a prominent scientist and a scholar, Prof. Maharramov is the author of 48 patents, 9 monographs and 44 textbooks. At the same time, he is the co-author of the first ‘Small Chemistry Encyclopedia’ in Azerbaijani and author above 800 articles published in Azerbaijan and abroad. 

During his stay, Prof. Maharramovwill visit to the Seoul National University of the Technology, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Pai Jai University and Korea Polytechnic University to discuss ways to promote understanding and academic cooperation between Korea and Azerbaijan. He will also get a chance to visit the Gyeongbok Palace, 'Miso' Korean Traditional Performance and Seoul Techno Park, National Science Museum.
