As the early spring of March continued to bring warmth, the World Activity Class continued with its Meeting the World in Korea program. This time around, volunteer instructors from the United States, Vietnam, and Uzbekistan took the time to share knowledge and experiences about their home countries. Duy Thi Hoa, from Vietnam, brought durian cookies, infused with the deep and strong scent of her home country, while Elizabeth Thomas, from the United States, introduced the children to American country and blues music. Kim Andrey Klimovich, of Uzbekistan, taught them how to say hello in her native language, which is “Assalamu alaykum!” It was a wonderful opportunity to learn about three different cultures.
